About Dashboard files

Dashboard files are EEPROM dumps from instrument clusters. They are used for cluster repair, mileage correction, replacing a faulty cluster with a used one, and recovering clusters that show wrong data or refuse to start after a failed programming attempt. Most instrument clusters use 93Cxx, 95xxx, 24Cxx EEPROMs or MCUs such as NEC, Motorola/Freescale and Renesas. XPROG, VVDI Prog, UPA-S, Orange5 or a dedicated dashboard tool read and write them. The product page lists the cluster part number and the processor so you can check compatibility.
How do I know that a file matches my ECU?
Compare the hardware number and software number printed on the ECU label (or read by your tool) with the numbers in the product title and attributes. They must match exactly; a different software version is a different file. If you are not sure, send us the numbers and a photo of the label before buying.
How is the file delivered?
Immediately after payment the file appears in your account under Downloads and a link is sent by e-mail. The file stays in your account, so you can download it again later. Files are delivered as ZIP archives containing the read exactly as it came from the unit.
