Terms and Conditions
These terms govern your use of autoecufile.com and every purchase of an ECU file from the store. Please read them before ordering; by creating an account or completing a checkout you accept them.
- You buy a licence to use a digital ECU file for your own vehicle or a vehicle you service, not the right to resell or redistribute it.
- Files are delivered instantly after payment and stay in your account.
- Always compare the hardware and software numbers on your ECU label with the listing before writing; writing a mismatched file can damage the unit and is at your own risk.
- Because a file is delivered immediately, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply once the download has started. We still fix or replace faulty or mislisted files.
01 Who we are
autoecufile.com (the “Site”) is operated by AutoECUFile (“we”, “us”, the “Seller”), Malatya, Türkiye. Contact: [email protected] or the contact page. Seller identification details required by the Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation are shown in the Distance Sales Agreement and on your order confirmation.
02 Definitions
- File: a digital engine, gearbox, airbag, dashboard or other control unit file (original dump, immo off, virgin, FRF/SGO container, DPF/EGR off, tuning or similar) offered on the Site.
- Listing: the product page describing a File, including ECU model, hardware number, software number, engine code and the tool it was read with.
- Customer, you: any person or business that uses the Site or buys a File.
- Account: the customer area of the Site where orders and downloads are stored.
03 Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for everything done through your Account. Give us accurate billing details; we may suspend or close accounts that provide false information, abuse the service or share downloaded Files.
04 Products and listings
Every File is listed with the identification numbers of the unit it was read from. We take care that the numbers in a Listing are accurate; the numbers, not the vehicle name, define the product. A Listing may be corrected, withdrawn or re-priced at any time before an order is accepted. Obvious errors in a Listing (for example a clearly wrong price) do not bind us and we may cancel and refund such orders.
Modified Files (immo off, DPF off, EGR off, AdBlue off, tuning) are supplied for diagnosis, repair, testing, motorsport and off-road use. It is your responsibility to check whether using a modified File on a vehicle is permitted where the vehicle is registered and driven.
05 Orders, prices and payment
Prices are shown in euro (EUR). Turkish VAT (KDV) is added at checkout where the law requires it; the total you pay is shown before you confirm the order. An order is accepted when payment has been authorised and the order confirmation e-mail is sent.
Payment is taken by card through iyzico with 3D Secure. We do not see or store your card number. Orders placed with a card that the cardholder later reports as unauthorised may be cancelled and the download link disabled; we cooperate with card issuers and authorities in such cases.
06 Delivery of digital files
Files are delivered electronically. As soon as the payment is confirmed, the download becomes available on the order confirmation page, in My account → Downloads and in the order e-mail. Files stay in your Account and can be downloaded again later. Nothing is shipped physically and no shipping charges apply.
If a download link does not work or the archive is damaged, contact us with your order number and we will re-issue the File.
07 Licence and permitted use
When you buy a File you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use that File on your own vehicle or on vehicles you service in your workshop. You may keep working copies for that purpose. You may not resell, share, publish, upload to file-sharing services or otherwise redistribute a File, in whole or in part, modified or unmodified. Breach of this licence ends your right to use the File and may lead to account closure and legal action.
08 Your responsibility when writing a file
Writing data to a control unit is a technical operation that can render the unit inoperable if done incorrectly. Before writing you must:
- compare the hardware number, software number and, where shown, the software version on your ECU label with the Listing;
- make and keep a full backup of the original content of the unit;
- use a suitable, up-to-date programming tool and a stable power supply;
- check the checksum where your tool supports it.
Files are supplied “as read” from the source unit. We cannot verify the condition of your unit, wiring, tool or vehicle. You carry the risk of the writing process and of the result on the vehicle.
09 Warranty and liability
We warrant that a File corresponds to its Listing (the identification numbers stated) and is delivered in readable form. If it does not, we correct or replace it or refund the price, at our choice. Beyond this we give no warranty that a File is suitable for a particular vehicle or purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim connected with a File or the Site is limited to the price paid for that File. We are not liable for indirect losses such as loss of business, vehicle downtime, towing, labour or the cost of a replacement control unit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer law, including Law No. 6502 on the Protection of the Consumer.
10 Withdrawal and refunds
Files are digital content that is delivered immediately. Under Article 15/1(ğ) of the Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content delivered instantly with your express consent, which you give at checkout. Our Cancellation and Refund Policy explains when we nevertheless refund or replace a File (undelivered or corrupt file, Listing error, duplicate purchase) and how to request it.
11 Intellectual property
The Site, its texts, design, database of listings, logos and software are owned by us or our licensors. Vehicle and ECU manufacturer names and logos are used only to identify compatibility; they belong to their owners and no affiliation is implied. You may not copy, scrape or reproduce the Site or its catalogue without written permission.
12 Prohibited conduct
- automated access, scraping or bulk downloading of the Site or catalogue;
- attempting to bypass payment, download limits or security measures;
- using the Site to distribute malware or to infringe the rights of others;
- using Files to disable safety- or emissions-related functions on vehicles used on public roads where this is prohibited.
13 Changes, governing law and disputes
We may update these terms; the version published on the Site at the time of your order applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Consumers may apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee or Consumer Court at their place of residence or at the Seller’s location within the monetary limits announced each year; for other disputes the courts and enforcement offices of Malatya have jurisdiction. Consumers in the European Union keep the protection of mandatory rules of their own country.
