EDC17C49 Immo Off and Virgin Files for Fiat Doblo 1.6/2.0 MJT and Iveco Daily

12 October 2026 4 min read

The product title reads IVECO DAILY EDC17C49 0281030169 A107350V5LB0ABQI0A964P04.HEX 1037513112 IMMO OFF DUMP, and the customer on the phone asks what the long string in the middle means. It is not a typo. On the Iveco side of the EDC17C49 family the software is identified by a HEX file name that encodes engine, power and application, and it matters more than the Bosch number when you’re matching a file.

One ECU, three very different vehicles

Bosch EDC17C49 runs the Fiat Doblo 1.6 and 2.0 Multijet from 2010, the Fiat Ducato 2.3 Multijet of the same era, the Iveco Daily 2.3 and 3.0 from 2011 to 2016, and a range of FPT-engined tractors including Landini and McCormick. The hardware family is shared; the immobiliser rules aren’t. A Doblo talks to a Body Computer, a Daily to its own body module, and a Landini has no immobiliser on most versions.

Reading the Iveco HEX name

Take A107350V5LB0ABQI0A964P04.HEX. On most Daily files the first block gives the engine (the A prefix for the 2.3 F1A, C for the 3.0 F1C), the digits that follow refer to the power rating, and the rest identifies the calibration release. Our Daily titles keep the full string:

  • IVECO DAILY EDC17C49 0281030169 A107350V5LB0ABQI0A964P04.HEX 1037513112 IMMO OFF
  • IVECO DAILY EDC17C49 0281030169 A093320W5LB0ABQI0A964P04.HEX 1037513112 IMMO OFF
  • IVECO DAILY EDC17C49 0281030088 C125400V6HS006QI0D323P04.HEX 1037513112 IMMO OFF
  • IVECO DAILY EDC17C49 0281030088 C110350W6HS0C6DI0D470P04.HEX 1037513112 IMMO OFF

Two vans can share the Bosch number 0281030169 and the software ID 1037513112 and still run different HEX calibrations (A107 versus A093). Send the HEX name from the label or from the ECU identification in the Iveco diagnostic tool, or we match it from your bench read.

Doblo: virgin first, immo off when needed

On the Doblo the EDC17C49 learns its code from the Body Computer. A used ECU from a breaker will crank and stop, with the code lamp on. The clean fix is a virgin file (FIAT DOBLO EDC17C49 0281030776 1037558231 VIRGIN is the usual one) followed by a proxi alignment and key learning with the dealer tool. Multiecuscan handles proxi alignment on many Fiat vans but not always the ECU-to-Body Computer key learning, so check before promising. When the Body Computer is the failed part, or the van has a mixed set of used modules, the immo off route removes the check in the engine ECU. We covered the Fiat immo logic in more depth in the Fiat and Alfa immo off post; the C49 specifics are that the immo data is in the EEPROM and needs a bench read with KTAG, Flex or New Trasdata rather than an OBD read.

Daily: immo off is the normal request

The Daily fleet market wants vans running. Most EDC17C49 Daily orders are immo off on a replacement ECU, because the Iveco pairing route needs the dealer tool and the body module in good order, and fleet vans often have neither. The engine starts, the tachograph and body functions are unaffected, and the ECU keeps its own calibration. Original files for the Daily are the second most common order, after a failed OBD tune with KESS V2 or a checksum error following an EGR edit.

Landini and the tractor side

LANDINI 5-110H EDC17C49 0281018130 1037513119 P 1096 520 is the kind of title you’ll find for the agricultural units. Tractors on EDC17C49 rarely have an immobiliser, so the requests are stock files after a failed flash or after a dealer refuses to reflash an out-of-warranty machine. Reading is bench only on most of them; the diagnostic socket is not always wired for flashing. The P number on the label is the Landini reference, and we need it together with the Bosch number.

Before you order

  • Bosch number (0281xxxxxx) from the label
  • Software ID (1037xxxxxx) and, on Iveco, the full HEX name
  • Vehicle, engine and year
  • Whether the ECU is the original or a replacement, and what state it’s in
  • A bench read if you have one; it beats any label

Ready-made files for the family sit on the EDC17C49 page, the Iveco and Fiat brand pages hold the rest of the van range, and anything not listed goes through the request form with the label photo attached.
