In most cases yes. The FRM2 and FRM3 lose their firmware after voltage drops; the module then stops answering and lights, windows and mirrors fail. Writing the correct dump for your part number with XPROG, VVDI Prog or a similar programmer restores it without replacement or coding.
How do I know that a file matches my ECU?
Compare the hardware number and software number printed on the ECU label (or read by your tool) with the numbers in the product title and attributes. They must match exactly; a different software version is a different file. If you are not sure, send us the numbers and a photo of the label before buying.
How is the file delivered?
Immediately after payment the file appears in your account under Downloads and a link is sent by e-mail. The file stays in your account, so you can download it again later. Files are delivered as ZIP archives containing the read exactly as it came from the unit.
