About this file

Description

EGR off file for a VW Golf on a Bosch EDC16U1, with EGR operation disabled in the calibration. Match hardware 0281011956, VAG part number 03G906016T with index 7001, and software 1037374184. For off-road, export or motorsport use only; not road-legal in the EU/UK.

Save your original read before writing so you can return to stock at any time. If you need to go back later without that backup, the original 03G906016T 7001 dump is listed with the same numbers. The listing doesn’t name the tool used for the read, so use whatever your equipment supports for EDC16U1. See all EDC16U1 files and the 0281011956 list.

VW GOLF EDC16U1 0281011956 03G906016T 7001 1037374184 EGR OFF DUMP is an EGR off file for the VW GOLF fitted with the EDC16U1 engine control unit. It matches hardware number 0281011956 and software number 03G906016T 7001. The file is supplied exactly as read from the unit, without alterations.

Typical use: disabling the exhaust gas recirculation function to stop EGR-related fault codes and limp mode. Before writing the file, confirm that the hardware and software numbers printed on your ECU label match the numbers above; writing a file to a unit with different numbers can damage the ECU. Emissions-related modifications are intended for off-road, testing and competition use only; check the regulations that apply in your country.

After secure checkout the file is available for instant download from your AutoECUFile account, and it stays there for later downloads. Need another version of 03G906016T 7001, or a file that is not listed? Send us a file request and we will source it for you.
